Christmas Message from the Padre

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.”    (Luke 2:14)

Those were the words that the angels sang the night that Jesus were born in Bethlehem, some 2000 years ago. These angels had a message from God as they sang praise songs for the new born Saviour:

All the glory goes to God. Then and now and always.

And as people living long after Jesus has walked the earth, we need to give God the glory for sending his son. It is as if the angels are still encouraging us to give glory to God through Jesus.

God‘s desire for all to live at peace with one another and with him.

Not only peace between nations, but between members of society, neighbours, different races, members of families, whoever we come in contact with.

So as we come to the Christmas season this year, my prayer for each one of us is to live out just that. That we will give Christmas it’s true meaning by giving glory to Jesus for his birthday. And that we will peacefully and joyfully share Christ’s peace and love this festive season with all that we are with.

I saw this quote the other day and challenge each one of you to join with me in the real celebrations of Christmas

It is my son’s birthday- you are invited!!!

From: God

May the Lord bless you and keep each one of you and your families during the Christmas time.
